The ambience is nothing at all fancy but has some nostalgia which is really nice as it's like an railroad car and so small but everyone is super friendly and the waitress is old school and pleasant, greeting everyone with a smile. The food is delicious, save your precious time not going to our LOCAL chains and instead get REAL pancakes, with REAL sausage... these pancakes are super fluffy and taste homemade, don't crumble apart when you cut into them. The BLT w/avocado was delicious... I will definitely be back... Keep in mind, it's small so it gets packed quick, especially on the weekends... they have minimal parking for about 7 cars on the sidewalk and there is also metered street parking as well.
This location is super cute the decor is old school diner and it just brings a nostalgic feeling. Parking is free outside unless it's busy you might have to park in the street. Located right next i the car wash and cash station in the middle of the block. Food is always delicious and staff is very attentive.
This is one of the last diners in Riverdale. They have a vast menu with the common diner foods. A friendly staff with quick service. Prices are good. It is a very popular place now that there are so few alternatives in the area, which I think is awesome for Tibbett's. Everything tastes fresh and I enjoy the family feel to the diner. Best of luck to all in 2024!
My husband and I both love the Tibbett Diner. It's small, and cozy, and definitely classic diner dining. He loves the Irish breakfast plate (even for dinner) and I tend to experiment with different breakfasts or entrees. I've never been disappointed! The last time we were there, I even splurged on dessert, and was served the freshest, most delicious coconut custard pie I've had in ages. The service is always cheerful and efficient, which rounds out our meal perfectly. Now, if they would serve Irish tea instead of Liptons, I'd be ecstatic!
Classic diner that has the speedy service, large plates of food, and busy atmosphere of a place that's long been popular. We ordered typical diner fare, yet every fish coming from the kitchen that passed our counter seats looked fabulous, from steaks to sandwiches to eggs to lattes. I ordered crips potatoes, and my plates was laden with them, complimenting the omelette packed with spinach. The ham and cheese omelette was equally stuffed -- no skimping on these dishes. Prices were decent, reflecting the Bronx not Manhattan. So that plus the friendly faces on all around made for a refreshing, rewarding morning meal.
This is a very cute diner. We went for a weekend brunch and it was quite a long line. But it was worth it! It! The foods are amazing. We ordered their weekend special chicken pot pie, which is very yummy. The chicken is very freshly made. And the pie tastes amazing. I would definitely go back again
